Tara is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker that graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2014 with a Masters Degree in Social Work and a certificate in mental health. Since then Tara has worked in outpatient mental health settings and residential treatment facilities. She has worked for several years with children with dual diagnosis of intellectual disabilities and mental health and/or autism, as well as behavioral issues. Throughout this experience she has gained knowledge and training in Applied Behavioral Analysis, Play Therapy techniques, including sandtray therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as well as EMDR. Tara enjoys using art therapy techniques and other creative therapies in her sessions. She is compassionate and caring, provides a warm and inviting space to process trauma and life stressors. She is passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults with life transitions, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She has found success in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and autism. Tara is always looking to gain more education to assist individuals in the best way possible. She wants to meet you where you are at on the journey of life and to help you jump over any hurdles that step in your way.
