Kristine Pugliese, Therapist Intern (She/Her)

After many years of working as an educator, mentoring expert, and college advisor, I’m excited to be moving into the therapeutic space to help individuals reflect, heal, and grow. I welcome a diverse range of clients, but have a particular interest in those dealing with anxiety, depression, grief, and transitions.

In terms of therapy, the approach we’ll take together will depend on your needs and goals. You can expect a warm, curious, and empathetic listener but also someone who will challenge you to be the best version of yourself. Sometimes we may need to take a dive into the past to understand longstanding patterns, and at other times the answer lies within the present moment. I will act as a guide, a sounding board, a support, and always a collaborator.

I am currently working toward my Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh where I also help teach a course on Wellness and Resilience. I’m a huge believer that while you work through challenges, you also need to bolster your wellbeing by building on strengths and finding the things that bring you joy.

During my training, I have been drawn to a wide variety of approaches including DBT, CBT, ACT, narrative therapy, expressive arts, somatic and psychodynamic and am always willing to learn and explore.
